The Columbus Blue Jackets will honor the tireless effort of incredible individuals in the community during First Responder Night presented by Jet's Pizza when the Jackets host the St. Louis Blues on Friday, December 8. The game will be highlighted by in-game recognitions, interactive concourse stations, and fundraisers to show support and gratitude for First Responders' contributions, sacrifices, and dedication to public service.

50/50 Raffle

In honor of First Responders, the Blue Jackets Foundation will host a 50/50 Raffle presented by KEMBA Financial Credit Union, with a portion of the jackpot benefitting the Fraternal Order of Police of Ohio.

  • Opens at 9 AM on Friday, December 8, and closes at the end of the second intermission on Friday, December 8.
  • The winner will be announced on Friday, December 8 during the third period.

First Responders Nights have consisted of in-game recognitions for police, fire, and emergency personnel: 

  • Columbus Police, Columbus Fire, Columbus Police Therapy Dog Unit, Bomb Robot, Pipe and Drums, and Emergency Vehicles on Nationwide Blvd. 
  • Honor Guard - Delaware County Sheriff's Office 
  • Police & Fire Hockey Team Captains honored on-ice during pre-game 
  • In-game recognitions honoring Police and Fire Pipe and Drums performance 
  • Fundraiser for organizations that give back to First Responders in the state of Ohio

Pizza Party at the 5th Precinct

The Blue Jackets delivered Jets Pizza to Columbus Police at the 5th Precinct to honor their work with Starfish Assignment!

2021 Firehouse Visit

Jody Shelley and Jean-Luc Grand-Pierre joined Station 61 of the Clinton Township Fire Department to help organize produce for local familes.
